- Factory training and certification by Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove to ensure they can repair all models, especially those just released, and have the product knowledge to answer your use and care questions.
- Internal training by our management team to ensure each technician understands and embodies our culture of service excellence.
- Training in the use of the new Hydrocarbon Refrigerant (R600A)*.
- OSHA training on health and safety protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bob Arkowitz
Bob has been with Appliance Repair Service since 1982. He has nearly 40 years of experience with the exclusive product lines we service. Bob’s leadership and technical knowledge is unparalleled. As the most senior technician, he has the leading role training new technicians and keeping all technicians up-to-date with new enhancements, updates and product offerings. Bob always takes time to answer questions and ensure understanding from both our customers and the entire Appliance Repair Service team. In his spare time, Bob enjoys being part of model railroad club and spending time with his family.
Matt Arkowitz
An award-winning service technician, after graduating high school, Matt earned a degree in carpentry from the Williamson Trade School. Matt decided to take advantage of his mechanical aptitude and follow in his father’s footsteps in the luxury appliance service industry. Matt’s previous experience allowed him to adapt quickly, and he has taken the role of Factory Certified Service technician to heart. Matt understands our customers and their expectations and always strives to improve his performance. In Matt’s spare time, he’s a member of an adult ice hockey club team and an avid fan of the Philadelphia Flyers. He bought his first home in 2018 and got married in 2019. Matt and his wife enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Steve Beecher
An award-winning service technician, Steve graduated from Holy Family University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Before assuming a full-time position with our company in 2009, Steve worked in managerial roles in the retail industry. His managerial experience, coupled with his innate interpersonal skills, enable Steve to be a true team player. Steve is always willing to go the extra mile with our customers, and his attention to detail is second to none. Steve is an avid Phillies, Eagles and Flyers fan and enjoys watching his hometown teams with family and friends. You will rarely find Steve alone outside of work as his favorite thing to do is spend time with his wife and two daughters.
Kevin Lichorobiec
Kevin attended Holy Family University majoring in Management and Marketing. During his studies, Kevin received a wide range of practical skills and became well versed in communications and consumer behavior. In addition, Kevin brings many years of retail management experience enabling him to see all sides of the customer service experience. Kevin enjoys golfing, darts and bowling. He feels blessed to be a COVID-19 survivor and enjoys his safe, ‘mask-free’ time on the weekends.
Chris McGuire
An award-winning service technician, Chris joined Appliance Repair Service after returning to the Philadelphia area from California. While in California, Chris studied engineering for over two years. Chris brings many years of customer service and managerial experience to the Appliance Repair Service team. As a result, Chris has been a quick study as a Factory Certified Service technician. In addition to his customer focus, Chris is a natural at understanding the intricacies and mechanics of high-end appliances. In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife cooking, watching sporting events and going to the shore.
Michael Venafra
An award-winning service technician, Mike started working with Appliance Repair Service in 2007 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science from DeSales University. Mike played basketball in both college and during high school at Lower Merion, where his leadership ability was evident both on and off the court. Mike took that perseverance and dedication to Appliance Repair Service, where he excels in product knowledge and exceeds customer expectations every day. Mike enjoys his free time with his wife and 3 children. Mike also enjoys keeping up to date on the latest local sports and vacationing with family at the New Jersey shore.
Kevin Sullivan
Kevin graduated from Wissahickon High School and takes classes when available at Montgomery County Community College. Kevin’s innate mechanical aptitude and ability to acutely listen to details contributed greatly to his capacity to learn and grow as a factory certified technician. The youngest member of our team, Kevin is smart, thoughtful, hardworking and dependable. In addition, he consistently receives great reviews from our customers. When not on the job exceeding customer expectations, Kevin enjoys photography, playing soccer and spending time with his family and friends.
